RAAF 7TH INTAKE 1953
TOTTENHAM/FROGNALL
Reunion No.10 - Mildura
9th - 10th October 2004
Once again this reunion was an outstanding success from the outset.
We were booked in to the Sandors Motor Inn, Mildura, a short walk from the RSL and the city centre. For the official evening meal, Bethany's Restaurant was the chosen site. Unfortunately, the owners had a very recent bereavement in the family but this did not stop them from providing an excellent venue and meal for those that attended the reunion.
On Sunday we were treated to a 'sausage sizzle' at the R.A.A.F. No.2 Operational Training Unit, Air Museum. This was followed by an inspection of the museum. Afterwards we attended a local garden of some repute where many roses and other feature plants were on display. The entrance fee going to a well known charity.
To close of the weekend, those that remained on Sunday had their evening meal in the RSL dining room.
There were 19 members from the 7th Intake of 1953, each accompanied by their wives or partners. It was again evident that the female members of the group got on so very well together. There was much merriment and enjoyment of the company that future reunions are assured.
