As usual Thursday arrivals were ready to take to the golf course on Friday. Not so usual was the need for the golfers to resort to transport by motorised vehicles to get around.
There was an unfortunate incident when one golfer inadvertently stood on and seriously aroused the inhabitant of an ants nest.
They, the ants. were a bit indignant and set upon the unfortunate golfer with gusto. There upon the golfer was inclined to divest
himself of this clothing, in so doing a not so merry dance was performed in order to rid himself of the pests.

Ian Green has been confined to care in Albury so it was decided to visit him, and this was much appreciated by him and Monica.
Regrettably he was later taken to hospital with a further health problem.

Saturday's meeting resolved to have the next reunion in Wangaratta, Ron and Heather Hearn taking on the event again.
Further arrangements will be confirmed by Ron in due course.
The formal dinner at the Gateway was excellent and enjoyed by all.

The Sunday coach trip took us to King Valley with visits to Milawa and Gracebrook where lunch was taken.
Meals were excellent and hearty, especially and fruit platter which would have done any number.
Although there was some rain during the trip, our spirits were high.

It must be said that Ron and Heather made everyone welcome and did an outstanding job in
making all the necessary arrangement for our time together.

There were some absentees.
Colin and Jean MacKenzie were not able to attend due to Jean breaking a leg.
Our thoughts are with all our unwell members.

The Tribe of  McCann

To the City of Wangaratta and the Tribe of Hearnie the Horrible, greetings and salutations from the Tribe of McCann of the city of Belmont.

What joy and gladness filled our heart when we received your 3rd epistle so filled with Great Tidings, declaring to all the fruits of you planning and labour.

We are in fear of the planed games for the first day for there will surely be much gnashing of teeth and rending of clothing by some of those who ride throughout on chariots wielding weapons of destruction and drawing much wrath on the targeted objects

Yea there will be shouts of joy as the tribes unite for much imbibing and feasting while the women of the tribes will vent their destruction on the merchants of the town as they seek but rarely purchase (hopefully) the goods offered by the poor vendors of the shopping markets as they try to understand the purpose of the women of the foreign tribes.

It will surely be a great time of revelation as we journey through the adjoining cities observing the natives as they go about their business, sampling their wares and enjoying the spectacle of the magnificent country side.

It is with great anticipation that we look to this time of great reunion and therefore we make the endowment of $40 (Shekels, Denaii or whateve).

Grace, Goodness and good health, to thee and thine.

The Leaders of the Tribe of McCann.
